Laura Keprta, PT, MPT, MBA has been practicing as a physical therapist since 1996. She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990 with a BS in Health Education, and then received her Master’s in Physical Therapy in 1996 from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Laura moved to Chicago, IL after graduation and began her career in 1996 in Inpatient Rehabilitation for 3 years and transitioned to Outpatient Orthopedics from 1999 to present. She has worked in various outpatient settings from hospital based to private companies. Laura has spent most of her Orthopedics career in private practice, physician owned clinics, including Illinois Bone & Joint Institute where she worked as a staff therapist and then in management for 6 years. Laura has some specialty skill sets in Vestibular rehabilitation, which many techniques can be used in the Orthopedics setting as part of concussion rehabilitation. She also has previous experience with lymphedema management and has used these unique manual skills and bandaging applications to address severe post-op swelling for OrthoTexas patients. Recently, Laura has completed coursework in dry needling and cupping to add to the repertoire of tools available to maximize patient outcomes.  In December of 2020, Laura completed her MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi.  She is using her new skills to continue to improve the management and operations of the Plano and Frisco physical therapy clinics.
