Shelly Leicester, PT, DPT has more than 20 years of experience practicing in Orthopedics as a Physical Therapist. She attended Lamar University where she received a Bachelor of Science, then went on to complete her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.  After 5 years of practice as a Physical Therapist, she furthered her education and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Massachusetts General Institute of Health Professions in 2006.

During her career, she has continued to pursue advanced training and professional certifications in a variety of modalities. Shelly is a Certified Clinical Instructor for Physical Therapy students, is Level 1 Certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment and has completed continuing education to stay abreast of current concepts in Orthopedics

Shelly’s favorite part of being a Physical Therapist is getting patients back to pain-free function. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her teenage son, traveling, scuba diving and is a CrossFit enthusiast with CF Level 1 Certification.
