Dr. Graehl is an orthopedic surgeon certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery who specializes in Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement, and Hip and Knee Arthroscopy and Reconstruction.


Dr. Graehl graduated with a degree in Geology from the University of Utah, and received his medical degree from The University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. He completed an orthopedic rotating internship, and performed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He completed a fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1986, and a fellowship in sports medicine and knee reconstruction at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, in Sydney, Australia in 1987.

When he is not working Dr. Graehl enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, backpacking, and enjoying the many outdoor opportunities offered in the American intermountain west. Dr. Graehl resides in Plano with his wife, son and their two dogs.
